Company Background
UroMetrics, Inc. was founded in 1996 to develop office based systems to evaluate penile blood flow in patients with Male Erectile Dysfunction (MED). Since 1998 the company has focused on developing a safe and effective treatment for Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD).
Products
Eros Therapy (2000)
- A home therapy designed for the treatment of FSD associated with arousal and orgasmic disorders. The device creates a gentle vacuum to enhance blood flow to the genital area.
- Granted market clearance by the FDA in April 2000 as a prescription device to improve sensation, lubrication, orgasm and overall sexual satisfaction.
- Currently available in Australia, Canada, Europe, Latin American and the United States.
- In the United States, the product is available through direct sales and distributors.
NEVA System (1998)
- A state-of-the-art monitor that measures nocturnal erectile events, duration of events and penile tumescence in patients for the evaluation of erectile dysfunction. The NEVA is distributed worldwide by American Medical Systems.
Knoll/MIDUS System (1996)
- An affordable office-based ultrasound system designed for urologists to quantitatively measure blood velocity in patients in order to diagnose and treat erectile dysfunction. The Knoll/MIDUS System is sold directly by UroMetrics.
